This video uses dramatic re-enactments of actual wilderness emergency case histories as a means of teaching survival techniques. Cases selected pertain to the most frequent and important outdoor emergencies: hypothermia, weather-related incidents, dehydration, lack of preparedness, disorientation, and panic.

In four separate scenarios, the film portrays a fisherman, a hunter, two off-road vehicle recreationists, and a vacationing family out to conquer the wilderness.

Each scenario demonstrates the human errors that lead to life-threatening emergencies and reveals the simple techniques that would have prevented them. A very captivating method to learn life-saving wilderness skills.
